How to replace belt?

I need help replaceing my belt. Does someone know a website with detailed instructions?

It's easy. Get a new belt. Find the correct size socket for the bolt on the tensioner pulley. Use a breaker bar or 1/2" socket wrench and try to remove the bolt on the tensioner pulley. The tensionor will just spring upward loosening the belt. Pull the belt off of alternator and release the tensioner. Remove the rest of the belt.

There should be a picture on a sticker showing you the belt routing right in front of the radiator. Put the new belt on according to the picture (or if you remember how the old one was just do it that way). Save alternator for last. Do the thing with the tensioner again and slip the belt on alternator pulley. Make sure the belt runs under the tensioner and then release the tensioner.

That's all there is to it. It should take you about 5 minutes at most.

Also, make sure that the two belts are the same size. I can't count how many times where i've worked the wrong size belt was given to me. That extra inch that the old one has can cause a big headache when installing a new belt. Good luck, jimberg gave you good instructions.

I had to use a 18 mm box wrench to move my tensioner ( 90 LX) there was not enough room with the flex fan and 3 row radiator to get a socket in there. The new belt will be shorter and will require you to fully retract the tensioner which takes a bit of effort. Ditto on putting the belt on the alt last

Removing the tensioner huh never heard of that.I just take a pry bar(the lug wrench in the hatch works well)and stick it under the pully and position the shaft on top of the tensioner body and use the levering action to release tension on the belt then use one hand to remove the belt.To install the new one its opposite the removal.

You don't remove the tensioner. You use a wrench on the bolt like you're trying to remove it. Since it's on tighter than the tensioner spring it will just move upward as you apply torque. It is not a good idea to pry on the pulley itself.
