All about headers

I got a basically stock '94 5.0 AOD Mustang GT... cept for intake and MAC headers...

I'm looking to get new long tubes but i need some help. I'm undecided between BBK and Bassani. The MACs suck. Anyone know which is better? Other than that, i heard somewhere that smaller diameter tubes make more horses on a stock head? Last question is, is there any real diff between Chrome and Ceramic Jet-Hot?

If any of u have either BBK or Bassani on ur cars, please help!!!

Anyone know where to get either for cheap?

i'd go with 1 1/2" primaries, unless you plan on new heads later on. the smaller primaries will keep velocities higher and help the scavenging effect.
use allen head bolts when you install the headers. i have equal length shorties and with a trimmed down allen wrench, i can get to all the bolts pretty easily.
if i had it to do over again, i'd get unequal length headers. they look alot better and have to be easier to get in. (actually my wife got me these for my bday, so i used them)

BBK doesnt make long tubes for the AOD cars. I dont know if Bassinni does eithier.

5 speed long tubes dont clear the AOD bellhousing as far as I know.

So who does make long tubes that will fit on a AOD car?

Hey Coupe5oh, I have Flowtech equal length shorties and i haven't had any problems with them. They fit pretty good, as good as headers can... lol ... and they were only like $145

I had the BBK EL shorties in chrome, and now the MAC full-length JetHots.
The chrome seem to last "well" for a long time, but will still discolor. THe JetHot are too new to tell yet.

I would get the chrome and 1-1/2" (not 1-5/8) Trust me, you'll do better with the 1.5" ones.
