How strong is FRPP 392W
How strong is the 392 Stroker shortblock that Ford Racing sells? Is it worth getting? Is there anything that will make it stronger?

If it doesnt come with a girdle which i cant remember, i would replace the crankshaft mains with studs and add a girdle windage tray and a quility oil pan.

It depends on what you're looking for in the motor, is it a mild street setup or are you looking on getting down the 1320 as fast as possible? ~Brian

I want both. I am going with AFR 205cc heads and Edlebrock 5.8 EFI intake. And than in a couple of years a Paxton Novi. I want it streetable. It is for a 1994. I can find good parts for a 1993 and eariler but as far as the 94-95 it is hard as heck to find good parts.

Does it have a Sportsman block or production block? Either way, you're going to have probably just over 400 n/a. It is strong enough for that, problem is when you strap the boost on. That's why my motor is on hold, I can't afford the W351 block so I can throw 18 psi on a 351. As long as you shift before 6500 it will make it a lot easier on the engine too. Bottom line, you'll be fine if you keep the boost low, and think, that's a couple years off too. ~Brian

Are you talking about FRPP M-6009-B392? If you are, the pistons are not ideal for boost and the compression is going to too high too. Check out www.dssracing.com they build some good shortblocks. I live 30 minutes from the shop and know they do a decent job. ~Brian
