Default Need Oil pressure numbers

Guys,
Just installed my pillar gauges and was wondering what should the oil pressure read. Currently i have a high volume pump and it reads 65-70psi at idle and goes over 80psi under WOT with synthetic 5/40 fluids.
Does anyone else have the guage and what does it read on your car (BTW it is an autometer mechanical 2 5/8")
thanks

With my old 302, I would run around 35-45 psi at idle and up to 65 or so at WOT. That was with the stock pump and same gauge that you have.

A good friend of mine has a high volume pump and runs in the 80's at WOT, but his idle is a little lower than what you were experiencing - somewhere around 50-55, I think.

My 331 will have a Melling High Volume pump, so I can get back to you in a couple of weeks with my numbers, if that would help? Just let me know and I can email you.

Darn, I must have a defective pump!

Mr. Diggler - did you mean 10 psi per 1,000 rpms?
