HP and 1/4 mile time guessing contest - Lets see who knows their stuff

What do you think the FLYWHEEL HP will be N/A? What quarter mile times could this combo see N/A and with a 125hp shot on Nitto DR's and on slicks? And last of all - What kind of difference would it make to go built C4 or TKO? The engine is at the shop getting machined now and I plan to have it together in a couple months. After it's done I'll have it thrown on the dyno to see what it's got at the flywheel and see how close everyone is. I know this is a lot of stuff to take a stab at, but give it your best shot! |
Ok, I'll be brave. 490 flywheel HP. 10.53 @125mph

Its all gonna matter if you can get it tuned and running right.
Any guess is as good as anyones here. You may run 14's or 13's your first time out. Eventually you should be able to dial it in to high 10's at 123 on slicks all motor. Skyler |
Properly tuned I will say 525hp@ the flywheel, and mid to high 10's. Low 10's high 9's with a 150 shot. Maybe I'm just being generous though.:D But good luck with putting it all together. Sounds like my car but with about 80 more c.i. and another point of compression. Oh and my guess is that a C4 will be more consistant, but no overdrive. A Tremec will be more fun IMO, and more streetable.

It'll be well tuned before I drive it. I heard this guy might not have a dyno to use EFI, but I need to talk to him to be sure. I don't want to dyno it with a carb. Actually, I don't see what the problem would be since I have an engine wiring harness and the computer and everything needed to make an EFI setup work.
It costs $500 for 8 hours on the dyno. That should be enough time to try a few degrees on the cam, air-fuel, and anything else we would need. But if he's not going to be able to do it with the EFI stuff on it I'll drop it in the car and go to a chassis dyno. There's a place that has wide band close by. |
Good luck, mine was on the dyno for 18 hrs. RAY

Wow. That's a lot of tuning. I'll have to ask him to see what he thinks it's going to take.

Nice cars by the way Ray. I made you an avatar. I'll attach it here if you want to grab it.

11.2 @119N/A.......10.4 @128 on tha juice 520 FWHP
to be exact:D |
HP & ET
You could make about 450 rwhp and run about 11.50@118mph on the motor. With the a Juice boost I would say about 10.30@ 131mph..

Nah, you guys need to remember how much HP were dealing with. At this level 150hp shot isnt going to add that much MPH.
ANd this is a lightened car, it should go 122--123 on motor, setup correctly. Skyler |
I'm guessing that when you let ME take it down the track, then it'll go low 14's the first try, then after i get new underwear after $hitting my pants from the rush, then i'll take it to low 11's :D
