![]() here goes -
I am putting ported E7TE's on my stock 115k mile short block this winter along with 1.7 roller rockers and keeping the stock cam. this car is not raced, just a good weather, fun car that is never taken above 5500 rpm. here is my question, what intake would give me more all-around performance. Performer/Performer RPM/Weiand Stealth are what I have been thinking of...if you have these or have knowledge, gimme your opinions. thanks |

![]() I'd try the Weiand Stealth. Thats what I'll be using next race season. Dual plane, great for low end and very affordable.

![]() what year? if you need to keep the EGR, go for the performer.. FWIW, on my car, stock cam, 1.7's 600 holley and AFR heads, I lost .2 and 2mph in the 1/4 going from a performer to the RPM... go figure...
------------------ 84 convt,'95 302,AFR's, performer 3.55's, underdrives BBK shorties stock cam, 1.7's 13.85@102.5 and a '68 stang that WAS nasty ;-) |

![]() I just switched back to the performer rpm from the vic jr intake and I picked up a lot of power that I lost with the vic jr. My car with the 302 ran a 12.5@109 with the performer rpm intake.

![]() 71 Chevelle: 350 c.i., 10:1 compression, hydraulic cam, Barry Grant 750 DP, Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold, port matched to the heads, plenum notched and smoothed. About 3400 pounds plus me @ 220, ran 11.97 @ 111.5mph. Shifted @ 6200 but it had great torque down below.

![]() thanks guys
some info - it will be a stock 82 5.0 shortblock that currently has a 1985 4 barrel intake (82 gt's came with a two barrel) and a Carter AFB. I don't care if I lose a little bit down low (it has alot of torque) as long as it is smooth 2000-5700 or so (I'm rethinkin' the RPM now that I'll have new valve springs...) keep the opinions comin' |

![]() I'd agree with you. Performer RPM. If not that, then the Performer.
