More than likely they wont repaint the whole hood. They will fix the scratches and repaint the little part where the scratches where. Then they will spray a clearcoat over the whole hood so it matches.. Sorry bout your luck.

I had a similar incident happen. I had just washed, waxed, buffed and vaccumed out Diane (64 1/2 iwth 289). I had to move my moms car out so I parked my baby infront of the house. 5 minutes later, some lady rings our doorbell. There a little kid with a big cut and a bunch of bruises, and a split lip.

She asks whos classic Mustang that is up front and I tell her mine. She tells me the kid was riding his bycicle and rammed into the back end of it.

There was a scratch on my rear end, and hand prints, and a big face print on the trunk lid from the kid flying onto it. Also scratched my rear valance panel. They were able to be buffed out for the most part. I was kinda ticked, why she didnt stop her son before he hit my car is beyond me.

Hmmm, I guess we know where your priorities are Capri306!! I guess if she was cute, I'd make sure she "paid" for the damage (but maybe not financially hehe)

About April(2 months after moving) I have Topless in front of my building, as usual on a Friday preparing for the weekend's show. I go in for a minute...then I come out, I hear a bunch of kids and someone saying something about running into a car. Scooters go zooming off everywhere!!! I continue to clean her, when I see a scratch about a foot and a half long that drags horizontally on the top of my driver door. NO paint left!!! I was PI$$ED!!! Needless to say, noone knew nothing, and to this day, noone has fessed up!! Its still there. its called "disrespect for other peoples property, and just plain ignorance!!"

Maybe we're now on the barter system. So many hours in one body shop equals so many minutes in another "body shop".

If she was over 18, I would not use the bartering system.

Heck, she cant ride a bike right. Would you trust her on anything else?

If she were of age I would not advise the "Bartering system."

Heck, she cant stay on a bike. Do you want her to wreck somthing else?

Yeah, they knew. I'm out there everyweekend cleaning it. one of them even came up to me a couple of months ago and said "I saw you on T.V.". It does stay in the garage when I'm home, but there's alot of traffic in front of my bldg. where I clean it. Such is Life!

Hey Rage, which shop is doing the work? My car is in dire need of a body job and I'm trying to find a place that will do a good job and not hack it up. I've heard too many horror stories lately...
