Question I need a crash course in NITROUS ED

I am right now looking at buying a nitrous system for my car. but I need some help I see that some of the kits have it where you just tap into your air inlet tube and some of the kits have it where you bolt a plate behind your throttle body.

The one that I want is made by Nitrous Works and uses the plate that bolts behind your throttle body. I always thought that the plate only sprayed out NItrous but after I read up on them I learned that the plate sprays out both Nitrous and fuel. Do you just tap into your existing fuel line and run it to the plate or what.

The Nitrous works kit that I want is adjustable from 50-175 HP. I wan to run the nos at about 125HP would this be OK for a stock fuel system and is nitrous works any good and also is installing a Nitrous kit easy or a pain.

I just ordered my 3.73 gears and today or tomorrow I will be ordering my Nitrous kit I am hoping to hit a high 12 I think that this is possible cause my car has 2.73 gears in it now so the gears alone should knock off damn near a second.

I just ordered my ZEX kit yesterday. I searched on this site and the corral and found a lot of good n20 info.

Yup, from the schrader valve (test port)

It is always advised that a higher capacity fuel pump be used as an added precaution.
I have never heard anything bad about the nitrous works kits.
Installation isn't hard as long as you have access to tools and some patience. It does take a while to put it in BUT you want to take your time and do everything right, a mistake could be very costly.
A good site for info is http://www.nitrousinfo.com/

Cool

I'm looking to get "juiced" soon too. I've been asking questions and searching in mags and on the net, and it seems that the Nitrous Works plate kit is a wet kit, which sounds a little too dangerous (for car and driver) for n20 virgins like ourselves! I'd have to say that 98% of the people I speak to or things I read say beginners should stick w/ a dry kit.

Oh man, No way the nitrous works plate kit is a wet system. Ok so any kit that you have to run a fuel line to is a wet kit right or wrong.

Who makes a 100 shot dry kit for a stang.

Any system that introduces fuel to the motor outside of the fuel injectors is a wet kit.

Yup, a wet kit sprays both fuel and nitrous into the manifold. A dry kit just sprays Nitrous into the intake and adds the extra fuel through the injectors.

NOS makes a 75 hp dry kit as well as an upgrade kit that allows you to go up to 150hp

There is the ZEX kit (I wanted that at first but it wasn't powerful enough when it first came out)

Compucar has that nitrous in a bag thing, but I dont trust it...

edlebrock just came out with a dry kit, I have heard it's expensive

Before I purchased my kit, I read EVERYTHING I could find about nitrous...You need to fully understand how nitrous works, how your kit works, and how to troubleshoot/tune it.

If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at brandx99@yahoo.com
