I need help ASAP Please!!!!

I have been having some problems starting my car lately. Here is a link to the thread. I found a wire that if I move it around, it cranks right up. I haven't had the time to fix the problem yet. Last night, I was getting ready to go to the beach for a New Years party, and when I cranked it, it started firn, but the starter hung up. It wouldn't stop turning over. I killed the ignition and it was still turning over. I had to disconnect the battery in order to stop it. I kind of need to fix it pretty soon. If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been messing with it, and it seem as though it directly involves my alarm, which by the way doesn't work anyways. Does anyone know how to disconnect an alarm that has a kill switch. I tried to unplug it and it for sure wouldn't crank. Is there a certain sequence that you have to go through, or a certain wire that you have to cut? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help.

Your solenoid needs to be replaced if it's staying on. There shouldn't be anything in your alarm that keeps power applied to the solenoid after the key is released. If it happens again, hit the solenoid with the handle of a large screwdriver, and it should stop.

That thought crossed my mind a couple of times, but, I just replaced it 2 or 3 weeks ago. I would take it back, but, I don't think I have my receipt anymore. Is there a way to test the solenoid?

If its hanging on or off then the only way you can check it is like Chris said ... if it hangs and you can whack it with the handle of a screwdriver and that makes it unhang ... replace the solenoid.
