Weld Racing Wheels/ Street Wheels
Currently I am running over 400hp with my Nitrous setup in a 2001 GT. Of course I have a number of mods. This is an everyday driver and obviously I take this Pony through roads to and from work and college. I find myself replacing the front wheels I just resently purchased because they are damaged. Can Weld's forged XP series 15X6 runners take everyday driving? Why can they, and why can't they? I have contacted Discount tire, Weld, Dallas Mustang, etc. I can't afford to spend $258.00 dollars a wheel everycouple months. Tire pressure is good and I am not pulling the wheels off the ground at the track, nor am I hitting speed bumps or pot holes excessively/abnormally. The runners have the futura performance tires. The rear wheels contain the 16X8.5 26X11.5 MT ET Streets. I did run around with the Nitto 555 R Extreme Drag Radials mounted on stock 01 GT wheels, but I would constantly spin out even when power shifting to 2nd gear and 3rd gear with a SPEC Stage III clutch. Am I missing the reason why I see more 400 plus rwhp Stangs with Steeda, Cobra R, Motorsport wheels that range from 18 X 9 or 10's?
