i think i am running rich
 

ok in auto we have this project car. its a beast, but i think we are running rich. you can smell it but the teach. says that it could just be carbon deposets. we checked the plugs but the description for plugs that are run rich and with carbon deposets are the same plug. but also the idle is running really rough. i already kno the trick to choke the carb then mist some water in to it to get the plug to burn hotter. but you cant stop at every light to do that. so i believe we are going to change the plugs and air filter.

Make sure the carb is set up right and has decent jets in it too. It's always possible that the car has been over-carbed.
And also make sure the ignition is good....plugwires, cap/rotor, and ignition coil. If those are weak it will cause a poor burn and make ya run rich.

all the wires are good its got new destrubitor and new battery. its a two barrole carb. and the idle could be rough cause the a/f mixture is low. too much fuel. but i'll tune the carb next time i am in the shop.
