I WANT 12s Bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I want 12s Bad !!!!!! I ran my car for the first time and ran a 13.66 @102.55 with a 2.1 60 foot time on street tires with an Aod.
Im thinking about putting in NO2 because of cost factors. If I do should I go with wet or dry???? I want reliability because I drive it to work every day!!! How much life will I cut out of my engine. It only has 54,000 miles Can I hit 12s with a 75 shot or do I need 100? Those of you that have been running No2 , How long have you been running it and how often do you use it. And have you had to rebuild ANYTHING AT ALL DUE TO IT. ??? MY MODS K/N 70mm maf, 65mm TB,Cobra Intake,Gt40 alu Heads, Fcam I think ,underdrive, pulleys,24lb inj, crane coil ,rollerrockers, bbkshortys into offroad H to flowmasters. 3.73s Shift kit.Griffin Alu rad. and other odds and ends. |
hummm...your sig looks like a ricers...LMAO J/K with ya:D
A higher stall converter will put you in the low 13's if you can hook up. I think a 75 hp shot will get you there Is that 2.01 60ft spinning or boging? |
Spinning it does have a stall I dont know what size I bought the car 2months ago?

Geno, as you know the tires you have are a big problem. You may be able to hit low/mid 13s with just some better tires. I'm telling you, I bet I knock close to 1/2 a second off my ET just by dumping those BFGs (2.3-2.5 60 fts). It is a night and day difference, but ultimately a trip to the track will be the tell all. Are they open this Friday night? I think I can take you're 13.6. :p
Anyway, back to the nitrous. You definitely want a dry kit (easy to install and safer). Your 92 has forged pistons from the factory, so you're set there (unless the previous owner put in a crate motor - I would seriously doubt that's the case with only 50k on the car). I've already done a little research and I would have to say go with a system from ZEX (my favorite), NOS or Edelbrock. Later, |
go wet if you think you might want to upgrade latter on as
the dry system will work only up to capabilities of your stock pump and lines. i looked at the zek and i still have to figure how it works and what about voltage drops ?? |
Wet or dry kit, keeping your same tires, a 75 shot would just get you into the 12's.

You should be able to dip into the 12.9's on motor. How is the tune of your car, meaning, how is your fp and timing set?? Do u have a bigger fuel pump? You should try 16* timing. I'd get a set of dr's and play with the tune of the car before resorting to nitrous to hit 12's. Is your tune up fresh also? Answer my ?'s and i'll try and help when I see your answers. Fwiw, your mph seems low for your combo, but spinning on a street tires sin't gonna help it.

I've been doing some thinking and before you jump into the nitrous, consider these mods.
1. Cold Air Induction (having the cone filter mounted in the engine compartment isn't helping, you're pulling in too much engine heat) $90-$125 2. Adjustable FPR, fuel pressure gauge and a dyno tune. I found about 25 HP at the dyno, it's the only way to garuntee you've got the best tune for your combo. about $200-250 total 3. Tires - $211 delivered from the Tire Rack for 255/50/16s. (get a hold of me this weekend and I'll show why I like the new tires so much :D ) out |
Iwill be in touch!!
