Post I want to change rear gears myself

I was wondering if anyone can tell me about a good web page that tells the step-by-step procedure of replacing rear gears. I've done gears in a regular axle before and I do have a dial indicator for this job. How much harder is it to change gears in a car with posi? Do I need a special tool to do the job? If you can give me some info or tell me where I can find some it would be MUCH appreciated

Check out the tech section on www.corral.net. They have a good artical on how to do them. I did them my self and they weren't hard at all. Just make sure that you get all the measurements right.

Check Randy's ring and pinion for the tools or go to corral net and follow the tool links. I think it takes you to Powerhousetools or something like that. If you want to see what is involved order the Video from summit. It has coverage of all popular rears excluding Pamela Lee. When I looked into the tools myself I came up with 279.99 including a dial gauge from the Corralnet link. The Zoom gear kit is about $600. Also check out Jeff Chambers' website he is one of the moderators here. Good luck.
