![]() hi guys-
I've been lurking around this forum for a while now and finally have a question to ask you guys. Will I have cleareance issues using the Comp Cam 270 H magnum (224/224@.05 lift .500 .500 110degrees)with the Roush 200 heads (2.02/1.60). My car recently had a rebuild before I bought it so I am not sure what kind of pistons I have, but if they are stock pistons will I have clearance issues. I have a 1970 Block 351 Windsor. Also what do you guys think about my 270H Magnum cam and Roush 200 combo?? I will also be using a rpm air gap manifold with my 670 Holley street avenger carb and 1 3/4 headers, I want to shoot for atleast 350 horsepower. thanks in advance- Al

![]() Well welcome to the board, nice to see another '69 Mach 1 to the board.
![]() I currently have the Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake, Holley 650 Carb. MSD Ignition, Mallroy Distributor, and I am assuming everything else is stock. I was thinking of going with a Edelbrock RPM Cam. but I'm not quite sure really what's good out there, but I hope to learn more as I go along. Enjoy the site and hope someone can be abit more help then me. ![]() §am.

![]() 1969 Mach 1-thanks for the welcome, also nice car
![]() I too have never put in a cam in before my car but I have a couple books and also with forums like this it shouldnt be too difficult to install a cam. If you like there's a cool step-by-step cam install procedure at ford muscle.com, here's the link HotRoddin-looking forward to your futher updates when you get your motor put together. Also will do on the checking of the clearances myself.
