![]() went to the track today for the first time after my B cam install.
It started out horrible, it was really cold and the track was extremely slippery, couldn't manage better than a 2.2 60ft. but later in the day when the Nitto drag radials got a little warmer and the track did as well, i finally got a little bit of traction and was actually able to launch it, somewhat. new et is 13.23 but at only 100mph. Thats 6mph slower than my other best (with the stock cam) which was 13.42@106 Heres the only things I could think of that caused this: Different track, close to same elevation. (also the temp was almost exactly the same both times) It was also fairly windy out, but I dont think that would cause me to lose 6mph. I was shifting at 57-5800 (on autometer tach) on my best run. Does this sound about right for a stock (ported) headed car with a B303 cam? I really need to get up to the other track because that was where I ran my other best time. My best time at the track I was at today was 13.76@???, so track-to-track comparisons look pretty good, can't complain about 0.53 seconds faster than the last time I was at this track. Next time out will have 1.6second 60ft times on slicks, and hopefully no broken parts.
