Default ignition/distributor

Hey guys, i am still having some issues getting spark and i think it has problems with the ignition module, EEC relay/power, or the PIP (hall effect switch/pickup) signal isn't being sent to it.
my question is if i were to upgrade to a MSD ignition does that come with a new distributor and will it also eliminate the Ford Module on the side on the distributor (that thing is a pain!!) Also, for any of you that have done it, is the wiring difficult or is it plug and play?

thanks a bunch,
aaron

msd boxes arent too bad ...just have to find a 12+ source, 12+ key on and a ground to tie into ...there are a few wires that go to the coil that you will have to splice into as well
