Ignition problem?
Finally,I have my engine together and running, here is what I done;1990 block,e7te heads ported,e303 cam, performer rpm intake, holley 650 double,Im using the 90 distrubtor with just the start, run, and the ground to the coil, the engine runs and idles but it is shooting flames out the carb, lol,I tried advancing the timing but it still seems to run shitty, its okay at high rpms but there is no low end throttle response, has anyone tried an e303 on a carbed engine,I set the timing marks dead on im wondering if The cam should have been degreed or,mabey all I need is an ignition controller.

Re: Ignition problem?
Doesnt the computer control the advance on the dist.? If it does, you might get the dist out of an 85 5spd car..NOT an automatic.
