Default Need help with starting my 93 5.0 Bronco!!

I know this is not the right area but you guys seem to know alot about the 302 motor so please try to help with any information. I was driving my bronco for about an hour, arrived home and then parked it on the driveway. I go inside and get out of the -25 degree weather then later i come back out and try to start her up. I get nothing but the sound of the fuel pump and a click from the starter(i think) when i turn the key. so i try to jump it and it doesnt work, then i replaced the batt. and terminals and cleaned some connectors and tried again and all i get is this click from inside the engine compartment. I run the codes and just get three codes that adjust the sensors for the tempurtur. I know the starter is getting enough power and i hear it clicking, but it wont turn over. I turned the motor over easily with a breaker bar so i know the motor isnt locked. Now could a starter just go bad like that or would it be the silinoid? I replaced my starter in my mustang and i think it did the same thing that this did but i forget if it was a combanation of things or what. I need to go to the parts store and get the new part tomorrow, so any help is great! THANKS!

Just wondering if you are getting all of the avail. amperage to the starter. Yes it is possible for the starter to be bad. There should be a starter solenoid on the fender near the battery somewhere. If you are feeling risky jump a screwdriver between the two large cables to bypass that. If that doesnt work then point to the starter. If its not too bad to remove just take it out and take it to a parts store and they should be able to test it for free. -25? Is that with the wind chill? I hope so because it was -5 here last night and that was cold. Hope this helps.

Smack the starter with a hammer while turning the key, sometimes that works. Im thinking starter either way.

Of course check connections, and the easy things first.

Hey guys thanks for your replies, i ended up pulling the starter and took it to the parts store and they hooked it up and all they got when they hit the button was sparks and smoke from the motor. I bought a new starter threw it on and started right up! I would have never thought that the starter would go bad just like that. And Yes it was like -27 i think with wind chill i think like -5 or 6 without windchill. THen the next day it had gotten even colder with windchill, i guess that i just have to deal with it in the Windy City! Thnaks for your repleies
