Default Ignition problems

I have a 90gt and I just did plugs a few days ago and today did the wires since my engine is stock i went with 8mm's from pep boys to get me by but theres an extra wire left over in the kit i dont know what its for and it doesnt say and also I accidently turned the distibuter so i'm sure my timing is off now can i start the car and turn the distributer till the timing is correct or just use a timing light which I dont have?

The extra wire will fit a coil with a different terminal. You'll need a timing light to check your timing, a small bump can put it off a long way.

about your little timing problem, just look to see where the dist. clamp was, there should be a mark or two where the clamp was, and put it in the same spot, or maybe an indentation. hope that helps without a timing light

Many parts stores like Trak Auto will loan tools free for 24-hours, which I think includes timing lights. They will simply hit your credit card and give you a credit when you return it. We don't own a timing light yet - but thinking about getting one as my son and I continue to bolt on performance parts.
