![]() I bought a nitrous works 125hp wet plate for my 1991 GT, it's stroked to a 331 w/heads etc. Anyhow, I bought a MSD digital 6 plus for the car but what do I do about the factory rev limiter??? It's a stick car and I power shift it so it hits the factory limiter in 1st gear often (I have 4.10's) and I don't want to scatter parts after I put the nitrous on it. I also have a custom chip burned for it. Do I set my MSD to cut the power at say 6200rpm before the factory limiter cuts the fuel at 6250rpm, or do I get my tuner to set the factory rpm with a new chip to say 7000rpm and get my MSD to cut it at say 6300rpm??? I'm scared of hitting the rev limiter with juice on and I need a cheap/simple solution for not grenading my engine while power shifting. Help.

![]() The guys will chime in here soon on this, but I thought the factory rev limiter was in the distributor?

![]() Have your tuner re-burn your chip with the rev limiter set to well above your intended limit (7000 like you say). Then use the soft rev limiter of the MSD to control.

![]() Rev limiters are NEVER a good idea on the snow. I HIGHLY recommend what Jeff said, and I'd also throw a window switch on her that kills the snow about 200 RPM before the soft touch rev limiter.
