Alright guys, I'm not to sure why this happened or maybe my car was cold. but I just started it up like 30 minutes ago (for the first time today)and I left it in park just to see how it idles, and in like 1 minutes the car shut off on me. I was almost wet my pants!...j/p but does ne1 have any ideas on why this happened? Please help!!! WORRIED STANG DRIVER!

Did it restart? How much fuel does it have? Any codes? What did it sound like when it killed? Did it sputter like it had no fuel? Did it die quick like the key was turned off? Etc.

Well after it shut off on it's own, I started it back up like 10 seconds later. it has about 2 gallons of gas in it...it didn't die quick either, it shut off kinda slow, it took it awhile, didn't really sputter...ne help is appreciated

Hey, I JUST had this happen to me on a major highway in Toronto !! It's freaky !!

What I did was change the fuel pump, and the plug wires (my pump was very loud tho!), and that seemed to make the difference.. BUT, how I knew it was my ignition system was that I checked my plugs (pulled one out, and looked at the spark while trying to turn it over, it was very weak, a orange-red colour)

Also, I'm going to clean out the t-body, and check the o2 sensors, cause mine is running rich, which seems to cause it to stall while idling...??
