Injector size.
 

I have most of the basic bolt ons including a cobra intake.I'm going to be adding a set of GT-40p heads in a couple of weeks and need to know if 24#s will make that big of a difference. Thanks

I personally don't think that you will notice a difference going from 19lb too 24lb injectors.

I'm inclined to agree. The 24 lb'ers won't really come in handy just quite yet (unless you've got some other mods). They really aren't necessary till you hit around 300hp (I'll just use that as a rule of thumb). You should be just fine still with the stock 19# injectors provided your car is mostly stock.

I originally swapped from 19s to 24s and now I have 30s. It seems to me that going from 19s directly to 30s would make the most sense
once you outpower your 19s. That way, if you go with forced induction later on, your injectors will be ready for it. I always try to plan today's mods with the future in mind. It will save you money in the long run.

19lb injectors can support up to 350hp. Beyond that the next step is 24lb, they'll support over 400hp. About the only thing you'll need 30's on is with serious boost or a good stroker.

If you stay N/A you will not need more than 24 lbers.

A healthy intake, cam, head combo will make around 350 flywheel hp on the 302. Which means if they are good, you can press the 19's up to that, but 24 lber's are the safer bet. Of course, if you add forced induction you'll need to make sure you err on the same side.

If I had a 350hp N/A 302 and 19lb injectors, should I get a 155 or 190lph fuel pump? Also, using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, what would be a good setting for it?
