The passenger side is the big concern - you might just have enough room with the head off. We put MAC long-tubes on our stang we did have to lift the motor up to get enough room. You're steering linkage has to go through the left side header. We found it much easier to simply undo the steering rack from the linkage which allowed the header to slide in better.
Also - don't know how many miles you've got on your stang and motor mounts. Problem we ran into was, while we had the motor jacked up decided to change the motor mounts as some rubber was cracking. Didn't want to pay the high price for Ford mounts, so I got mounts from Trak Auto.. The #2 tube on drivers side was now rubbing against the bottom of the steering linkage. If you experience this same rubbing it's due to your motor mounts raising the motor up - which than raises the headers up.
Once it's all said and done - the MAC with long-tubes really sounds great. Not too loud but certainly has a deep sounding exhaust when you put your foot into it! Good luck!
