I am installing a mech water temp guage. Where exactly does the sender go? I have a Cobra intake.
Thanks

towards the front, driver side, there is a threaded opening for the temp. sender. You just need a fitting and line since your running mechanical.

When I put in my mechanical guage I used the stock sending unit location, and I teed into the port where the computer senses the temperature and re- installed the factory sending unit there. Now everything works.

Unless you can screw the one into the top of the other one, I think that goes without saying. Just use a little common sense, and youll be all right. There is another option available to you. In the back of the cobra intake is another threaded opening that can be used for a temp. gauge. I relocated my factory sender to this location, and put the autometer in the original location. So, you shouldnt have to tee into the sender in the metal heater core lines as someone above did. Why are you running mechanical? May I suggest you reconsider an electrical gauge. Just as accurate, and no fluid lines running into the interior. |

Install it in the stock location (2:00 off the distributor).
I removed the stock one, since I dont care to read noRmal... I used a mechanical 2-5/8" gauge cause they have a 270 degree sweep.
