Default Installing new Edge converter....finally!

I finally got the time to start installing my new 3700 stall converter from Edge.
How much fluid should I put in the converter? I've heard from 1/2 quart up to 3 quarts already and I want to be sure what's the correct amount.
When I put my 2400 stall converter in about three years ago, I only got about 3/4 of a quart in it. How important is this step?
Also, this is the first time I installed a tranny without it attached to the engine. Is there any good advice out there?

Default Re: Installing new Edge converter....finally!

As for how much to put in it, when I bought mine it said in its instructions how much oil I should put in it. I think when I re-installed it last year, I tried to get as much in it as possible, letting the fresh fluid settle in a ways, and then adding more.

As for the tricks for putting it in, make sure that bad boy is seated all the way back against the pump. I have used a half inch wrench, bolting it to the bell housing via a flywheel cover bolt. By doing this, the wrench sits against the T.C. and provides a little tension on it so it doesn’t slip forward as you put it up in the car. I have noticed is the higher I had the car in the air, the better maneuverability I had.

Get er done, and let’s see some smoke shows!
