Default Intercooler on a A-trim

I wasn't really thinking of doing this, but I was wondering if you could put an intercooler or aftercooler as Vortech calls them on a a-trim supercharger? I keep hearing how inefficient a-trims are at higher boost and the air they blow into the engine is too hot. Would a intercooler fix that? I know for how much an intercooler costs you could just upgrade to an s-trim, but I am curious.
