Default Irish Spring Wins!

I beat a stubborn pilot bearing today with IRISH Spring Soap. I read about here 3 months ago and today it worked for me!!!

Irish Spring Soap?

what did you do with that?
were you having problems getting the bearing out? I've heard to pack grease in there and then get a punch just small enough to fit inside. When you smack the punch with a hammer the grease pushes the bearing from the inside

either way, glad you got your problem fixed

I used soap instead of grease. It works really well.
