Irritating beeping sound when car starts?

I just purchased a 90 mustang. When I start the car it makes this beeping sound. It beeps three times and pauses, beeps three times and pauses, etc. Sometimes it goes on for ever. It's very inconsistent. I can't stand it! What is it beeping about and how can I turn it off? Please, help!

Thanks

Either a seatbelt sensor, or door ajar sensor. If you want you can just disconnect the chime thing.

Is there a fuse that controls the beeping? I know it seems to be coming from behind the A/C controls. I still cant seem to pin point it?

The beeping is your airbag module located behind your radio. It's a blue box. Something is up with your system. If you just want the noise to go away, I heard there is a connector under the driver's seat, but I would reccomend unplugging the connector to the module. Your airbag light may come on. The real fix would be to have it serviced.
