Default issues with 93' 302

hello all, I've got some issues thats I know that somebody out there
can help me with. First I bought a 302 FI engine out of a 93 ford pickup, and have plans to put it in my 67 coupe. Before I ask the question, I know that there will be people that does not agree with the rought Im going , Trust me I have thought about it long and hard and I feel that this is the right rought for me. Ok, I was wondering if my hydrolic cam would fit In the roller block and would
the roller lifters work with it? I know it sounds crazy, but I have a
fairly hot cam from a previous motor with less than 3000 miles, and would like to use it if possible. if not I will have to go with the factory cam for money reasons. Thanks for taking the time to read my thread and hope some of you can help.

I have gone the same route as you and it was a good decision.

You can not use a hydraulic flat tappet cam with the roller lifters that came in the 93 motor. I would not use that cam in the 93 block, but would rather use the stock roller if that was the case.

Hey,

I know you can use a flat tappet cam in a roller block, but like rwhite65 said you cannot use the roller lifters, but the cam will work in the block if you have the correct flat tappet lifters and pushrods, since the pushrods for flat tappet are longer. There are some ford modification and retrofit books by SA publishing that you can find like at Barnes and Noble that talk about parts interchange etc.
