Lightbulb Its been a long time coming...

Well in August of 2001 I tore the 347 down to rebuild the top end to get the power I wanted. After a little while I decided to redue everything. This put me with a tubular front end coil-overs on all 4 corners, 33 spline axles, 4.10's, spool.....blah blah...

As the car sits it is ready to fire but it will be straight headers. I sat down to turn it over a couple times but when I hit the key it didnt turn over. When I short against the starter cylioniod it turned over. It started to fire so I let off...

I am guessing I am just not making the contact for the neutral safety switch.

I am bolting up the exhaust and welding in the 1 remaining subframe friday night and will be firing it up Saturday. I have one question before I do so. I have done a battery relocation to the hatch. When I turned the car over multiple times, the ground strap that bolts to the firewall and to the back of the driverside head started smoking. This ground did get painted when I had the engine bay repainted. Do I just need another ground?

Vids to come shortly(if it runs)....:flag:

I am in from working on the car to take a break...I am getting frustrated. Everything is going in okay but as I had the car up on the lift testing the fit of the pro-dumps one fell down hitting me right in the damn face. Took the skin off of my nose and gave me a nice shiner....

welp..It runs great..Only problem is that I only have about 1-2 inches of clearance for the exhaust underneath the car. I am going to have to take it to an exhaust shop and let them see what they can do...

The motor rev's great and has a rough idle at around 900rpm. Tap the gas pedal and you are at 4k...

Sounds like it should be quite the car when its all back together. As for the Ground strap i would add another 1 or even 2 to the block. I Had the ground strap at the back of the head get red when i was first trying to start my car. I added a nice 4 gauge cable bolted to the block to fix that problem.
