just got into my first accident :(

hey wzup
was driving to the g/f's today and it was slushy/almost icy....but there were clear lanes in the road, all of the sudden my car catches an ice rut and starts veering off to the right, i was only going 30mph in a 55...then i correct to bring it back on the road and it spins on me, and i end up in the ditch on the OTHER side of the road facing the other direction....

only damage was the passenger side bracket that holds the foglight was split into 235 pieces (its plastic) and had some paint knocked off the air dam right there by the foglight....

statetrooper showed up fast, no ticket...called a tow truck real fast, got me back out

thankful i didn't hit the mile marker post that was 5 feet away or the power line pole that was 3 feet away...

anyway, anyone know where i can get just the metal bracket+plastic backing (they're riveted together) for the passenger side foglight for a 91GT?

Dude, that sucks. Just be glad you weren't in NJ when that happened. The cops around here show no mercey. Same thing happened to me one christmas in the snow, cept all that I got was 2 flat tires. I got a carless driving, Accident report, and my friends tow truck showed up to help me out and the trooper said he needed a certified highway accident truck or some bs. to show up, so I had to pay some one else to tow my car 50 miles to my house. Got all the tickets dropped at court though.

Man, I feel your pain. This Saturday, I got into my first accident. I was minding my own business in my lane when the old lady next to me decided she wanted in the lane with me. All of the sudden, she started coming over and there was nothing anyone could do or say to stop her. I layed on my horn and my friend was waving out the window at her, but to no avail. She railed right into my passenger side. She didn't decide to get back in her own lane until after she had slammmed on the breaks, crunching my car all the way down the side. When the officer finally showed up, she tried to blame it on me saying that she had her blinker on. As much as I LOVE my car, she is lucky I am a nice guy, because I wanted to get out of my car and curse her out and kick the crap out of her car. I kept my cool though, thank goodness, because the cop was awesome to my surprise and wrote the lady several tickets. I thought he was going to try and 'stick it to the punk kid in the souped up mustang' but he told the woman, by her description of the accident, she dug herself into a hole.

Don't ya just love this Kansas weather man? It's great. Just your luck, there's a Mustang salvage yard right out there in Lawrence. I can't remember the name of it for the life of me though. I've talked with the guy whoowns it (Terry, if I remember right) many times. He sells lots of stuff on the Corral. If it makes you feel any better, I did a 360 right in the middle of the road just a few nights ago. Snow I can handle, but this icey rain sh!t is killin me.

there's a bunch of other little parts i need for my car too, and a mustang salvage yard close by = goldmine
