Just placed my order for a JMS Chip!
It should be here in a week and a half. My buddy, Mike and I are heading to the track on Friday June 29th so I hope it arrives by then!
Last year I was running consistent 13.1-13.3s @ 105-106. With the custom chip (and hopefully my first 1.9xx 60' time) I am hoping to go 12.99999 or very low 13.0s @ 107+mph. I may be a bit optomistic on this, but I guess I will find out for sure in very soon. Wish me luck on the qwest for 12's in street trim on BFG drag radials! I will keep you all posted on the results of the chip. E ------------------ 1991 5.0 LX Coupe - 38,000 miles 13.17 @ 106.14 mph w/ 2.138 60' |

Make sure to keep us posted. I have a JMS chip coming in soon also, but my motor isn't 100% done yet. I'm interested in seeing if you improve your times. You should for the $$$ they charge!! Good luck!

I've posted this a hundred times before, but since you guys are awaiting your chips, I'll tell everyone again. I picked up a full 1/2 second and 3 mph (in the quarter) with my JMS chip, in my heavily modified 94. I dont think my results were typical though. My car was SCREAMING for a chip. Either way, Chris Johnson is an excellent tuner!!

I bought a JMS chip last month.....one month later it's still not in (been busy w/ the house). I've heard good things about JMS, I've spoken w/ Chris Johnson, and my choice was easy. I'd be VERY happy to get .1-.3 off my ET and 2-3 mph on my trap (wishful thinking). The car just feels like it needs one.....super fast, but driveability wise (idle/initial throttle response etc). Good luck w/ yours.

When I put the chip in, I was running gt40-x305's, gt40 manifolds, f-cam, 65tb, pro-m 75 bullet, bassani exh. with flowmasters, 19lb. injectors with pressure <way up>, plus all the other little stuff. This past winter I changed the cam, had the heads gone through, 75mm tb, cold air kit, t-rex w/ 255intank, pms, tko, 30lbers, oh yeah, i also added a 300 horse Top Gun Nitrous kit.

I got one, and I got no results with it. Still bad idling and all that. No increase in performance. So I just sent it back.

Sky - a JMS chip or some other kind?
If I got a half second reduction and picked up 3 mph I would be JMS's biggest supporter!!!! Seriously though, I'm just hoping for .10 drop in ET and 1 mph gain. We'll see soon! E ------------------ 1991 5.0 LX Coupe - 38,000 miles 13.17 @ 106.14 mph w/ 2.138 60' |
