Just A Quick Question
I was wondering if anyone can give me some info here... I have a stock valvetrain on my 1995 gt. I dont have many miles, but do have some ticking frome the valves or something under the valve covers. If i'm not mistaken the valve train on a stocker isnt adjustable. Please correct me if I am wrong. If it is adjustable can some one gimme a step by step? I appreciate the input. Thanks

No its just a bolt down pedestal type set up. You can get shims to put under the pedestal if you have to much preload on the lifter. but you sound like you got some slack. See if you can determine which side and approx. what cylinder and pull the valve cover. Bump the engine over and check for play and then pull that rocker assembly and check for wear at either pushrod cup or at the fulcrum. Sometimes the pushrods get cloged and then little or no oil goes to that rocker. You could also have a weak lifter or loose valve guide.
