fuel line problem

Hello all, I used to be on this site a lot, but its been a couple years. I have an 86 GT, as you all probably know its the first EFI model. One of the nylon fuel lines from the frame rail to the coupling up to the injectors wore against the sway bar and is now ruptured. I tried some replacement nylon line from AutoZone, but no matter how much i heated it, it would not fit over the metal lines. Have any of you run into this problem, and if so what was your solution? I'd like to think that somebody makes a rubber braided style line that would work, but I don't think the regular stuff is made for the extra pressure of a fuelie sytem. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Try hydraulic hose.

I work at AUTOSTONE and they work perfectly for me?

Too much heat plus little patience?

Hey you can get fuel injection hose at most auto parts stores, I had the same problem as you so I got 1/4 inch hase slipped it over the metal lines and clamped it with a hose clamp, trust me this will not come loose. Just make sure the hose is rated for the pressure. I got it at Pep boys, but I think any store would carry it.
