![]() Ok heres my new combo: Dss 396 short block with steel crank and eagle esp rods expecting at least 10.5.1 compression, ported and flowed edelbrock preformer heads shaved .030 with 2.02 intake valves and k-motion double valve springs with 180# seat pressure and titianium retainers and locks, crane ultra lite solid roller lifters riding on a reduced radius cam that is still up in the air on exact grind but power from2500 up,bbk 1 3/4 inch longtube headers(think i should go with 2"?)carb will probably be a 1050cfm king demon.I was thinking of a ported victor jr but am excitedly open to any suggestions.I plan on shift points being around 7800.

![]() I agree. Victor Jr is the only way to go shifting that high. What kinda power are you expecting out of that thing. Sounds mean.

![]() I'd go w/ an Offenhauser Port-o-sonic. As far as that carb goes, I'm sure that a prepped 750 or an 850 double-pumper would be better. That 1050 would be too big. More isn't always better. You'd only need that kind of quantity if you were adding nitros or a blower.
