Question sunroof leaking

I have a 1979 Pace Car, inherited from my father. Just had the engine (V8) rebuilt and many other things done. Up and running good these days. One problem..the sunroof leaks. My Dad had told me once that he used to unplug the four drainage holes in the sunroof with a coat hanger and that stopped it from leaking. It is safe to say that it is blocked again! The overall seal is in good condition...Anyone know of a fix or something to suggest...
Getting wet when rains...
Thanks!

You could try putting vaseline on the seals.

I once owned a Pinto with that same factory sunroof set-up, and I found that using compressed air at each of the drain holes worked well.

Take care,

My 91 LX had the factory sunroof and I brought it back several times for leakage in the first six months, so with your 79 it's gotta be worse. I never figured out how to stop the leakage completely.

I was told that I should just have it sealed up. I don't plan on using the darn thing anyway. Would be nice to have cleaned out, but don't think it's going to happen. Anyone have suggestions on sealing it? I was advised by someone to use clear silicone, would that cause rusting? Anybody?

just watch out with the coathanger - you can push the plastic tube off of the "spout" (that is the hole in the corner) then you are screwed. Don't ask how I know this.

I have a 93Gt that had the same problem. I took some aluminum welding wire and made sure the end was smooth then pushed it through the drain tube along with squirting some silicone with it. I then took my compressor and blew that sucker out. Fixed it just like that!
