Default lighting up around sparkplug/wire

opened my hood in dark to check for wires arching & noticed i can see the firing of all 8 cylinders by looking where the plugs & wirers come together. when the cyl fires, i can see the light at the point where the plug & wires meet. my car also has drivality issues but idles decent. nomal to see this or bad plug wires?thank god we have this syst to help each other out on. thanks guys! p.s. my car has msd 6a & tfi blaster coil

I think its time to invest in a new set of plug wires. The terminals have loosened to the point where they are arcing, and it sounds as if the boots have deteriorated to the point where you can see the spark, which means they aren't sealing that good anymore.

In the future, apply a small amount of dielectric grease inside the spark plug boot.

Take care,
