Track tips
Ice on the intake is a must, especially in hotter weather. Bring a big cooler, lots of ice and plenty of towels to wrap the ice in. Keep the hood open as long as possible.
Assuming you have good street tires, pump up the fronts to the max + 5 pounds. Leave the rears (street tires) 5 under max.
New plugs and fresh oil are also a must for the track, unless you go constantly.
Start with about a 1/3 tank of gas - no more. Too much gas adds weight (6.2 pounds per gallon).
You can empty the trunk and remove the front seat to lose some weight.
These are no-brainers that I've used in the past with success.
