Default long rod 306

Any body know how to make a long rod 306? And is it any better than the regular 306. Thanks

You have no idea what a huge can of worms you just opened. hehehehe It'll make you pull your hair out. I was part of a HUGE discussion about this on another message board a while back. I found the "final" post from that string, and here's a link to it. Inside this post are links to 2 other articles that provide excellent stats, theorys, ideas, and pros and cons. Put your reading glasses on buddy.

Waste of time, effort, and money. Forget about long rods and think about cubic inches.

Long rods are for consistant high rpm use. You would not benefit from it unless you are strictly building a race motor. Theory is with the longer rod is to build up a little more cylinder pressure do to the fact that the piston is sitting up at TDC a bit longer. If you are going all out, build yourself a nice 331/347 stroker. You will get more satisfaction out of the motor that way.
