Long tube header clearance Q?

I have an 88LX with a D&D k member. I reciently bought two used sets of headers and they are Hookers super competition and Mac HTS coated 1 3/4. A friend of mine told me the hookers are going to give me a hard time with my combo and k member clearance.

this is a 302 with windsor sr heads

I hear that Mac long tubes are much worse.

I would like to hear some stories about installing these two headers on after market or stock k members.

thanks

just who you're looking for.

Congrats on finding those headers . I ordered mine new and they took 12 weeks to arrive. not in stock at the factory.(1 3/4 longtube equals) As far as the clearance goes with a stock K member, I have an 88 GT and they fit, in fact, they're PERFECT. You can even change out the starter with a little negotiation. 7 qt pan requires you to pull the starter rear end first then turn front to clear pan.
There is plenty of clearance around everyhting, considering that they are large headers.

I've used hookers from the get go and wouldnt ever dream of running any other brand.

thanks that sorta of reliefs some thoughts.

The guy who sold me the headers could not install them on his 347 stroker and Grigs k member. I have no idea what to expect from these two headers once the engine goes in.
