Thumbs up

Pretty much most of the aftermarket exhausts improve performance, but definitely do headers and hi-flow cats or off-road pipes to add to sound and performance!
I have BBK 1 5/8" shorty headers, BBK off-road h-pipe, and flowmaster American Thunder cat-backs on my car. It made a nice difference when I took it out for the first time! Just the sound alone made it worth it! Good luck, and let us know what you decide!

Most of the exhausts are somewhat the same as far as quality. Alot of guys like the Flowmaster systems, because they are louder. I have BBK unequal shorties, Bassani o/r/ x and the Dynomax Super Turbo cat back system and I like it, it's much quieter so cops don't look at me everytime i go through an intersection but wakes up nice at WOT.
If your going to stay fairly close to stock than go with a set of shorty headers, I'd recomend one with the single piece flange, like the FRPP's or BBK chrome ones. If you have to deal with emissions go with an x or h with high flow cats, or an off raod h or x and swap the original back on for testing. If you are going to do some serious modifications such as a power adder like a blower or a big shot of Nitrous, aluminum heads a cam and an intake etc. than go with long tube headers as they will help you maximize performance.
