Low Coolant Light
The otherday when I started my car in the morning to leave for work, I noticed the "Low Coolant Light" came on and stayed on. I checked the anti-freeze later on and its fine. The car runs cool and everything. But the Low Coolant Light keeps coming on when I start my car, but only when the engine is cold and has been sitting for a while (like over night). In other words, if I turn my car off right after I start it, then start her back, the light won't come on. Any suggestions? Thanks

check your overflow bottle it might not have enough in there so that when your engine cools off it's below the level of the probe in there. it could also be the probe is corroded and just needs to be cleaned off.

top up your overflow bottle or make sure it is full. Then check the connections to the sensor.

overflow bottle is low

I had the same probelm also. Fool around with the sensor on top of the overflow tank and turn it so the connector is basically facing the engine. Thats all I did and the light finally went off.

is my car missing something or did LX's not come with a low coolant light? I dont have the probe thing in my overflow tank and i dont know where the light would be.

my lx doesn't have a probe in the overflow tank either. I don't know if they all don't have em or what. But i wouldn't worryabout it to much.
