![]() i ported my E7's on the exhaust side. i have never done this before. i raised the roof of the exhaust and grinded out the bumps. i left alone the bottom of the exhaust port. on polished the exhaust only and left the intake side alone. have any of you done E7's before? here are some pics:

![]() So, don't you just love the taste of fine, ground metal??? LOL. I don't care what kind of mask you wear, that taste stays for hours.
I think they look okay. It would be nice it you could smooth them out, though. Even the smallest grooves can act like the ridges in the sand do at the beach, and cause slight "waves" in the exhaust as it exits. I don't really see this as being a problem in your case, but this is as good a time to work on it as any. Try blending them with a finer bit at a slower speed. ![]() Take care, ~Chris

![]() By the way, where did you ever find spark plugs that match the heads like that without having to paint them???

![]() Chris. i dont know about you, but i didnt have to wear a mask or nor did i taste any metal. i was using a straight air die grinder with carbide bits with the regulator turned down and dremel tool.
![]() gee, i smoothed the crap out of them. i sanded the ports with fine paper about 10 times each cylinder. i can even drag a razor blade across the port without it catching. hey its all i had. i took me 5 hours per head. man it is tuff to get in there!

As far as the metallic taste, maybe it has something to do with being a smoker? I don't know, but any time I do ANY metal grinding, either with air tools, a Dremel , or a bench grinder, I get a very fine, metallic taste that lasts for hours. You didn't hold your breath, did you? ![]() Take care, ~Chris

![]() My really good E7s are at the shop. If you e-mail me monday, I'll send pics. You should do the intakes and the bowls. I rode in my car today after a 2 1/2 year break down.

![]() They look O.K. to me. I've got a set laying around that I am going to port some day, just have to find some time.
As far as that metallic taste in your mouth PKRWUD, I get it to, and I've never smoked. srv1 doesn't know what he's missing. ![]()
