low oil pressure
Someone please help, I recently swapped a 351w into my 90GT and I spun a bearing. I pulled the crank had it cut with matched bearings and I also added speed-pro pistons and eagle rods. now when I start the car up i have about 10 lbs of pressure at idle. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. Please

Check the oil for other liquids(water, antifreeze, gas)..These will lower the pressure. Also, how do you know you only have 10lbs? Is that what the stock guage says? Take off the oil sending unit and hook up a aftermarket guage to that fitting and test it.

there are no other fluids mixed in the oil, and i know the oil pressure because i have an autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge

When the rotating assembly was put back in the block were all the clearances checked with plasti-gage? What about the cam bearings, were they replaced? Was the pressure higher before with the same pump in the old engine or is this a new pump? The good news is it will still live with 10psi oil pressure as long as the pressure increases as the engine revs, ( I believe the # is 6psi/1000rpm but I may be mistaken. )
