Low Voltage Question
 

Hey guys, i installed an underdrive pulley kit on my 89 5.0 and since then i have been having nuthin but low output form my altenator. did my alt go out or wat? i have a phat stereo in there right now , power 1000a2 rockford amp and 2 JL audio 12's and i was wonderin wat type of alternator i should get. i heard sumtin about a 94 5.0 alternator being a good replacement?

You need a higher output alternator. The upgraded version is available in every Mustang magazine for less than 200.00.

Yup - your alternator is not providing enough juice with the stereo. I good rule of thumb is 100amp alts when installing pullies. I would also calculate how much total amps your high-powered stereo draws and base your alt upgrade to handle that power.

Like your stang - what size tires and wheels are those?
