Lowerd car, Need tire rubbing help!
Ok, i lowerd my 1993 GT 5.0 with BBk 1.5" springs. I Have 225x55-16's on my pony wheels. The drivers tire rubs on the A-arm, and both tires rub around corners right after the tread ends on the outter sidewalls... I thought I would be ok with lowering it, but now im regretting it!!! I want to run 245's soon and I know I can't with the way it is. I have the rubber insolators on already.
Should I put some 0.5" thick rings between the springs and the K-member? I dont know what to do and I spent $200 on Caster/chamber plates already. can anyone help? :( |

lowered
yes, grt rid of the 225-55 & get 225-50 & you will have better
clearance & will lower the car again another 1/4 of an inch because of the profile change. i have an 88 x 4cyl auto converted to 5.0 w/ 5speed & have eibach 1.5" lowering springs w/ 225-50-16 all around w/ barely any rub on the lwr control arm. avoid putting 245s on the front, put them out back & keep 225 on front. |
