That cam has good overlap and should make good power through out the rpm band. It will have a healthy idle and will sound good. It looks liek the cam will pull OK vacuum looking at the specs. The 4:10 gears will help on the low rpm driving, it will not want to buck quite as much. That cam comes advanced 3 degrees, just install it as it comes, it should run fine then you can go from there. Depending on what pistonss you are running and what valve size you have in you Ebrocks you should check you PTV, .100 is the lowest recommended. I am running the 51027 which is a stronger running NA cam but it pulls low vacuum and is a PIA for the street I would not suggest it, I have since switched to a Anderson N-61, which I am installing right now.

I've got the Lunati #51014 installed in my motor. It has a fair to rough idle. It makes power between 2500-6000 rpm. It will also work well with a blower. Gives a wild ride in the upper rpms of third gear. Its a nice replacement for the stock cam and will pull all the way to 6000 rpm.

I don't know how Rick is defining power, but the #51014 actually has more lift and duration than the #51027.

Andy, I guess my staement was a little misleading, huh My cam has tighter lobe centers 102/107 and has more overlap 65 degrees this is a strict NA cam only, a NA car likes the overlap, it does have slightly less lift but nothing to talk about .509 to .512. The 51014 has blower friendly lobe centers and has less overlap so it will be a good NA or Blower or N2O cam. I think a cam with more overlap and tighter lobe center may run better for him in a 10:1 NA car but if this car see's street duty it isn't worth it, it is a head aches at time thats why I am swapping mine out. I am tired of no vaccumm and loading up while sitting at a stop light. My new N-61 is pretty steep with the .544/.568 lift but it has a 110 lobe center and a little less duration so it will pull better vacuum and make more power for my combo. The 51014 will be a lot better on the street and will cause less headaches. Drop me a line whats new with you and your car. I'll give you a update, the car is in many, many pieces I hope to have it all back together around April 7th. Rick91GT@onemain.com or rhawver@strouse.com
