Post LX tailpipes on a GT? How?

I will be ordering my new MAC catback tomorrow, and I need to know if there is a way to mount the LX pipes on my GT? I do not want to cut a hole, or get a new bumper. Can I just extend the bracket? How can I do it?
Ian

I extended the brackets/hangers down and that worked fine. I did have the 1/2 circles cut out of the bottom of the valance though, I am putting on a Cobra rear bumper cover so you can see those expensive chrome tips

I'd just wait and buy a cobra rear valance it will look alot cleaner and meaner. But it is your car and your money so go with what you think will work.Talk to an exhaust shop they might be able to help

If you angle the pipes down so they extend past your GT bumper thats the ugliest damn thing I've ever seen. I'm sorry bro, but it just looks horrid in my opinion. Bite the bullet and go Cobra Rear to see those nice new LX pipes. In my mind, its the ONLY way.

Thanks for the info.

I also realized, by looking at some photos, chrome pipes on a 87-93 gt do not look right unless you have the valance.

I will be getting the kit for 87-93 GT
