Post MAC Intake

Has anyone heard anything about it? I read about it a while ago but havent heard anything since. I went to the MAC website and it says it will be available in summer 2001, but they arent selling it on their site. Anyone running it? How do you like it?

Why would you want anything MAC? I've heard nothing but bad things about them, poor quality, etc...and guys no flames if you have mac, this is just my experience.

Looks like an Edelbrock rip off to me! mac has quality issues to deal with from what I've heard. For $400 anyone would be better off with a TFS or Cobra. $100 more buys you a Edelbrock.

Bove, I haven't heard from you in a long time! How are things?

Anyways, here's a bit of info on the intake, just incase you haven't heard. It is from the same foundry as the Edelbrock intake. All MAC is doing is putting the round end on it in place of E'brock's square end. As far as flowing more CFM than Edelbrocks, well, I'll believe that when I see it. Also, they aren't going to be selling them for $300.00 as originally advertised. If you call to order one from them, they will tell you that the $300.00 price was a misprint. Expect to pay $399.00 or more for it. For that price, I would go with a TFS track heat. Or even a Street Heat. I have one I'd sell ya if you want. All you need is a lower. Anyways, that's what I know about the MAC intakes.

So, I heard you blew your MV Performance built AOD and decided to go with a T-5. Any truth to this rumor?

Thumbs down

I think the MAC intake is dead in the water. I heard from a source close to MAC it will never be put into production.

Hey Joey,
You heard right man...it went bad. It was trashed. I emailed muscle motors and they told me 350 or something along those lines. I really want a RPM but dont want to send the money.
