Mach 460 in a 88 GT
I'm trying to install a mach 460 in a 1988 GT with factory premium sound. Of course. In 1988 this could be premium :D.
Anyway! I wanted to keep my car as original that i can and mach 460 is enough for me. The kit is from a 2000 mustang. I have everything needed (wiring harness, amp, speakers, cd player, radio, etc) When i hook all the system every thing look like to work fine except that i don't have sound  First i had to remove my factory amplifier to hook my radio and i have to re-adress one wire in the wiring harness to fill an hole in the master power harness. I've verified all my connection but i still without sound. What can be the problem???? |

Re: Mach 460 in a 88 GT
Are you getting power the deck? Is it actually turning on at all? You might want to recheck the wiring. You also might want to check your fuses that goto the radio. Theres actually not a whole lot that can go wrong when installing a deck.

Re: Mach 460 in a 88 GT
Check the power, ground, and other connections on the amps.
Although IMHO I would just sell it all. You can buy aftermarket stuff for the same prices and it will sound better and be easier to install |

AWESOME advice dude!!!!!!! A hood will DEFFINATLY fix his problem!!!!!! Sell him your hood, after all with such high performace mods as a radio and subs your gonna need way more than a 4" hood, most likley a 6" at a minimum. |
